The Building Progresses

We have had both a mission trip and work day over the last couple of weeks. Much of the work has come along and the building is taking shape. I have been pleased to see the progress provided through the sweat and labor of youth ministries and local churches.

As you can see from the pictures, we have begun to paint the children's area. Tile has been laid in the lobby and much of phase 1 is done. (The bathrooms, basic flooring, doors, and storefront.

Come by on a Wednesday night for Common Ground Connection at 6:30 PM to see how we are progressing towards our launch date.

Friday Night Cookout Finds Great Success

On Friday night June 15th, we held a cookout at Waterman's Crossing, an apartment complex near the church. Over 200 people were fed. We had a chance to hang out with many families and many students who came and attended our "Riverside Kids" event during the week through our mission trip.

It was a great time, but our heart strings were tugged as so of the children begged us not to go. Many hungry stomachs were filled and smiles could be seen every where. What a great time of connection and fun.

Thanks to Greenwood Christian and Life Spring Christian for their work with us.

Mission Trip # 2 - More Progress
